MATT BUKATY is an award-winning American composer, providing compelling, emotionally-charged music for film and visual media. His music has accompanied a number of narrative and documentary films that have screened at festivals worldwide, including the Festival de Cannes 2015.
Matt’s work can be heard on a number of films by Atomic Productions, the creators of many renowned films including the viral hit "The Splinter Cell" (and its forthcoming sequel), based on the popular video game series by Ubisoft Montréal, as well as "Thunder & Ash", which was selected to screen at Cannes, and “Slow Burn” and "Overcast" which were both awarded Best Music at the 48 Hour Film Project for the last two years. Currently Matt is working on the documentary "Kicking All Odds" by filmmaker and frequent collaborator Hanny Lee, as well as working closely with Dallas-based startup TERSE on all video marketing content. Additionally Matt has licensed music for various commercial and corporate clients including Southwest Airlines, PBS, IDLife, SUCCESS Magazine and the University of Texas school system.
Matt holds two degrees in music composition from the University of North Texas and New York University. He currently resides in Dallas, Texas with his dog Bo.
