ABOUT

MATT BUKATY is an award-winning American composer, providing compelling, emotionally-charged music for film and visual media. His music has accompanied a number of narrative and documentary films that have screened at festivals worldwide.

Matt’s work can be heard on a number of films in collaboration with Atomic Productions, the creators of many renowned films including the viral hit "The Splinter Cell" and "The Splinter Cell: Part 2", based on the popular video game series by Ubisoft Montréal, as well as "Thunder & Ash", which was selected to screen at the Festival de Cannes in 2015, and “Slow Burn”, "Overcast" and "Double Negative" which were awarded Best Music at the 48 Hour Film Project consecutively for the last three years. More recently, Matt composed the score for the documentary "Kicking All Odds" by filmmaker and frequent collaborator Hanny Lee, as well as various film and commercial projects by filmmakers and collaborators around the country, details TBA. Additionally Matt has licensed music to a number of clients including Southwest Airlines, PBS, IDLife, SUCCESS Magazine and the University of Texas at Arlington.

Matt holds two degrees in music composition from New York University and the University of North Texas. He currently resides in Dallas, Texas with his dog Bo.
